Treo 680 Review and Pictures
I definitely need a new phone and the new Treo 680 might just be the right one. Here’s a quick review with pictures from flickr:
Quick Facts:
Priced at $399, the unlocked version of the Treo 680 can be used on any GSM network.
- The Treo 680 is designed for a general audience and has a nice 320-by-320 TFT display.
- Powered by an Intel 312MHz processor, the Treo 680 boasts 64MB of user memory and 64MB of SDRAM.
- Treo 680 has internal antenna and boasts 4 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of stand-by time.
- The Treo 680 measures 4.4 inches by 2.3 inches by 0.8 inches, and it weighs 5.5 ounces.
- The device has a full-sized SD card slot and, like all Treos, a full QWERTY keyboard.
- At its retail and online stores, Palm will offer the Treo 680 in graphite and three other colors: crimson, copper and arctic (aka red, orange and white).
- The Treo 680 comes with a document viewer, and it can view PDF documents. It has improved e-mail capabilities, such as smart addressing that remembers and automatically fills in e-mail addresses that have been recently used.
It connects to headsets via Bluetooth 1.2, and a full-sized Secure Digital card slot on the side lets you use cards of up to 2GB.
Problems or Cons:
- No Wi-Fi capabilities and will not support Palm’s Wi-Fi add-in card.
- No support for higher-speed 3G UMTS/HSDPA networks
- No support for wireless stereo Bluetooth headphones, only mono.
- It has a VGA camera.
