Ping WordPress Tip
I love the fact that WordPress has automatic ping set up so when you publish a new post, WordPress automatically notifies certain site update services. Actually, it notifies Ping-O-Matic which then notifies other websites like Technorati. But, pingomatic shouldn’t be the only site update service that you use. I use the following list:
http://rpc.pingomatic.com/
http://ping.weblogs.se/
http://blogmatcher.com/u.php
http://coreblog.org/ping/
http://www.blogpeople.net/servlet/weblogUpdates
http://bulkfeeds.net/rpc
http://trackback.bakeinu.jp/bakeping.php
http://ping.myblog.jp
http://ping.bitacoras.com
http://ping.bloggers.jp/rpc/
http://ping.blogmura.jp/rpc/
http://xmlrpc.blogg.de
http://1470.net/api/ping
http://bblog.com/ping.php
http://blog.goo.ne.jp/XMLRPC
You can take that list and put it under your Options-Writing setting. This will notify even more websites of your new post. I forget where I found this list so if someone knows, just leave the source URL in your comment.

You could do that Nite but then you have to configure WP and FeedBurner. Instead, you can just use WP build in functionality to get the job done.

It pings to nearly 48 sites!
